Do not cast me off in the time of old age; do not forsake me when my strength fails. (Psalm 71:9)
Rev. James Richardson heads this ministry with the goal of extending the love and compassion of Jesus Christ in a tangible way to those who are confined to convalescent facilities, hospitals, and their own homes. Rev. Richardson and his staff does this by simply holding a hand, giving a hug, listening, and spending time in prayer and fellowship. This vital ministry of Zion Christian Church brings God's love through worship, the word, prayer, holy communion, and fellowship.
Specifically, our elder care ministry ministers to those who are unable to attend church.
Rev. Richardson and his staff are always looking for more help with this ministry. Indeed, the harvest is plentious, but, the laborers are few. Do you want to get to know some amazing folks who have walked with Jesus for decades? Do you want to be used by the Lord to comfort people in the trials of growing old? If you want to get involved or just have questions about this ministry please feel free to contact us.
